I don’t think people are overreacting to this Wemby game, if he stays healthy, the league is his. He’s already the best defensive player in the league, no one can stop him offensively, and he’s only 21. His ceiling is GOAT.

I think expedition 33 might be even better on a second playthrough, when you have a greater understanding of exactly what’s happening. All time great game.

Final weekend thought:

Bound for Glory finishing with an Elias run in. Lmao.

Gamrot isn’t the hardest hitter, so this wasn’t the riskiest opponent to apply relentless pressure against, but he fought the same way against the likes of Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler. I’m not sure how much longer Oliveira can get away with fighting like this, but it’s been a special run.

The success that Charles Oliveira has found in recent years is absolutely remarkable, and relies so much on him just being tougher than his opponent really. It’s an insane strategy on some levels, especially at the top of one of the toughest divisions, but he pulls it off more often than not.

I’m not sure John Cena/AJ Styles was the best match of the weekend, but I’ll remember it long after I’ve forgotten anything else from this past week. I really do think AJ was Cena’s best career opponent, 5 for 5 in their singles matches IMO.

KOPW was a solid show beginning to end, capped off by a phenomenal main event, but narratively, this company has been struggling this year, even for the companies post COVID standards.

Takeshita/Goto should be great, not sure where they go for the dome. Uemura would be my choice.

Really enjoyed Ghost of Yotei. I don’t think it hit the narrative heights of Tsushima, but the game was an improvement in most other aspects. Solid 7.5/10. Beautiful game environmentally.

Quick All Out thoughts:

Highlight of the show was Dorada/Okada/Takeshita by a mile, fantastic match.

Main event was great, but the length of the show had beat the crowd into submission by that point, you could feel the crowd’s dread at the 30 minute call.

I finally watched the James Gunn Suicide Squad. Fun movie, infinitely better than its predecessor. It was funny how lazy the Deadshot/Bloodsport replacement was, but it also worked brilliantly just because Idris Elba is a thousand times better than Will Smith.

And props to the most comically unredeemably evil protagonist(?) in the history of gaming, Kazuya.

Tekken might have the most insane nonsensical story of any fictional franchise ever.

Just thought about Chris Paul trying to cheat the skills contest again and started dying.

Ishii is just going to be doing this forever isn’t he?
