Hochul led Stefanik among males, females, voters of liberal and moderate ideologies, in union households, NYC, suburbs, upstate and among white, Black/African-American and Latino voters, ages 18 and up,
among Catholic, Jewish, Protestant and voters making over $50,000.

Poll showed Hochul still faced possible bumps on the road to re-election. When asked, if the election were held today, if they would vote for Hochul or “prefer someone else,” 51% preferred someone else to 37% to Hochul. That included 54% of Independent and other voters.

Among Democrats, Hochul led Stefanik 75% to 10%. Republicans preferred Stefanik over Hochul 68% to 15%. Among Independents and others, Hochul led Stefanik 43% to 25%. Another 31% either wanted someone else, did not know or declined to take part in the poll.
