Add to that Akali and Talon kissed at a party to piss Kayn off. Add to that Katarina saw Talon in shambles afterward and picked a fight with Akali, when it was really Kayn Talon was hurting for all along...

At school, Talon and Kayn test each other's boundaries with spars. Then parkour. Then skateparks. Every time they clash, they're igniting something - wordless and shapeless. And then Shen finds out Kayn is Zed's son and it all blows up.

Shen has been thriving since high school, at least in public. He has a dojo he's proud of and a successful business, which Kayn ingratiates himself into being an intern at. Unexpectedly, Shen ends up teaching Kayn at the dojo, not knowing he's Zed's son.

Kayn, who resents Zed for failing to be a father in favor of drinking himself stupid over Shen. Kayn who is furiously jealous that Zed is being a dad and shifu to Talon! So Kayn hatches a plan w/Rhaast to cozy up to Shen in revenge.

Zed, who's washed up and messed up after losing to Shen at the All Valley Tournament in high school and then nearly being killed by Kusho for it. Zed is a faildad to Kayn and becomes...less of a fail-shifu to Talon. They open Cobra Kai dojo. Enter Kayn.
