We often hear from folks wondering how to safely feed hedgehogs without inviting the neighbourhood cats to the feast.
It's super simple! Set up a feeding station by placing cat food and water inside an upturned plastic box with brick tunnel entrances - a great example is shown.

Just wanted to share a quick update on Herman. He’s doing really well! His surgical site is looking amazing, and he’s busy getting nice and plump.

His roundworm has cleared up with treatment!

Thanks for the donations towards his vet bills. It won't be long now until he returns back to the wild

He's also gaining weight, and his Capillaria (roundworm) parasites are all under control, which is such a relief!

On Monday, we're heading to our Vets for an x-ray to check on his healing process. Fingers crossed everything looks great!

With warm dry weather expected to continue, please provide shallow dishes of water for wildlife.

Some hedgehogs, like Basil here, will pop out in the day for a refreshing drink if there's a dish near to where they're sleeping. So long as they're under cover+return to bed, there's no need to worry

We've had 3 fixed by them. This one had an internal pin. The other two previous ones had external fixations
