One more note, on the pic of the Main stand, when you walked down behind it, the first door was the entrance to the club office. That’s where I did Work Experience week in the last year of secondary school. Dennis Marshall was club secretary at the time and it led to me having a match day job 🥹

Great photos 😁👌 I remember them building that TV ‘gantry’ in the middle of the main stand after we won promotion to the top flight in the 80’s. And I remember the white barriers on the Kop (and on the Lane End when we had the old stand there). Ohh memories.

I was on the Spion Kop (in the Notts half of it). I still have no idea how Niall Quinn didn’t score with that header at the end. What a day 😁👌

There are 2 more cats I’ve yet to post pics of but I just came across this one and had to post it. They say you shouldn’t have a favourite child <gulp!>. This is Cleo - she has been with us over 10 years now and I adore her. I’m sure the feeling is mutual.

Another of our rescues, Archi also came from Egypt. He’s a bit of bruiser, weighing in at around 7 kilos which is pretty normal for his type, he is reminiscent of a Turkish Van and is as solid as they come but he has learned how to cat and will sit contentedly on our laps.

Ella-Mae is a cream and Rose Gold cat much like a doll-faced Persian. She is laying on her back on a Chez Longe that is draped in a dark blue throw. To the right of her is Cleo, a part-ragdoll who is mainly white with a few grey patches. She is curled up on her left side with her feet and tummy toward us, showing her jelly-bean toes.

2 more of our cats, Ella-Mae and Cleo. Both are rescues from Egypt and have settled well with us in the UK in the years since they arrived.

Another day later (48 hours after his treatment) and Dexter was happily dozing with his brother (Lewis).

A few more days since Dexter had his teeth ‘fixed’ and he is doing amazingly well. :-) 24 hours later, he joined me at my (embarrassingly untidy) desk to offer his support to my work.

Oooh! I’ve just discovered the rotate button while using my tablet. I like that!

I’ve been here a week now. I’ve not been to the other place in that time … I haven’t missed it, whereas here, it just feels… right!
Everything seems more civil. I don’t agree with everyone’s opinion but nobody is telling me that I’m wrong to not agree with them. I hope it doesn’t change, I’m happy.

Please Beth, if you have to abbreviate it, use Nottm or just simply Forest, there is only one with that second name (unlike United). I’m sure it annoys Forest fans as much as it does me (a Notts County fan).

Dexter is back home, a few teeth fewer and a good clean up of others. He is now settling back in at home with one of his games 😻

Dexter will be making a lengthy trip on Tuesday to a specialist vet dentist to take a good look at his mouth health. He may have to have a lot of teeth removed 😬🤞

Just joined… it’s like going back to the good old days. A familiar feel to it and a good start when one of the first posts on my feed is yours 👍 (along with cat pics of course 🤣)
