I do not understand this about the oligarchs & capitalists: They actually make more money & live in a better society when the working class is making a living wage & the government invests in infrastructure, healthcare, education, environmental protections, etc. so why are they against these things?

How convenient. All of a sudden money is not free speech anymore.

If the federal government can simply seize privately held patents then that is the end of the U.S. patent system, the legal basis for American innovation.
