I've been saying it for a little while now and will say it again; we don't have three branches of government right now. We have two real branches (executive and judicial) and a junior varsity branch (legislative) that is acting like it's a smol bean with no power.

THAT is a constitutional crisis.

We must make our stand here.

When trade barriers are removed or reduced, American companies can purchase low cost components from Chinese factories and sell (and export) finished goods at a profit.

Comparative advantage works for everyone in a free market, making all participants better off.

Trump broke that.

Moving a firearms production facility across the country is quite an experience.

That move included a lot of inventory that was produced in China.

It's going to be way more difficult to replace that inventory now that Trump has destroyed free trade in order to extort countries and businesses.

The government is kidnapping and sending people to be tortured in a prison in a country that isn’t their home country

If they were being deported, they’d be sent back to their countries of origin to live, not to be imprisoned

Due Process is the method the government must use to ascertain whether or not any individual is in violation of law. If a sitting US Congressional Representative doesn’t understand this most basic premise, they need to resign.

Snatching people off the street cannot be normalized. Where are the actions from our elected officials? The judiciary is giving some pushback and getting attacked by the administration for it. Where is our Congressional delegation? Where is our State government?

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Yes. It’s a problem. I’m doing this with a whiskey on my backyard porch on a Saturday night. Total US tax collections are in the 4 trillion dollar range while the budget is north of 6 trillion. It would be more efficient to change government spending, or change the tax code rather then audit

Agreed. If we are serious about fixing the problem, we need to spend the time and effort to fix the side that will make the difference.
