Libraries might have carried Peanuts, and Calvin and Hobbes, and Garfield collections, but the trade paper backs and volumes from DC and Marvel hadn’t quite earned enough culture respect to make it onto those shelves yet.

Not to mention I had no real reason to desire Batman comics, XMen comics, or Ninja Turtle comics when the movies and television and video game adaptations served as easier entry points to those titles.

An obsession with comics absorbed through 90s pop culture and tv references but no comic shops within 25 miles of my house meant the Sunday funnies was I had until the Gateway PC got a modem connection and I learned about webcomics.

This one-off Fender Colonelcaster is perfect for your chicken-pickin' needs. It was made to commemorate the 1998 Association of Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisees convention in Nashville. It's got a large pickguard with a red, white, and blue picture of Colonel Sanders and the KFC logo . It looks to be set up like an Esquire, with just the one bridge pickup. It's got a volume and tone knob and a 3-way blade switch. It's also got black knobs and a what looks like a Squier neck.
