I'm not an FPS player, so not trying to be on the bleeding edge here. But it's crazy to me how good games can look without spending $1000+ on a high end gpu. RPG and strategy games played at 1080p - BG3, Civ7, CK3 - all absolutely gorgeous now, on a 4 y.o. rig with a CPU that was mid at the time.

Y'all I just installed a $350 graphics card in a PC that only had Vega integrated graphics before... Holy cow it's like seeing the future. Just booted up a couple games and set 'em to ultra presets and we're looking crisp as can be and moving smooth as butter. What a difference.

That's my neck of the woods. Gotta go check it out.

It's weird that the mid-season break is longer than the summer off-season. And as @empiregass.bsky.social pointed out, that means #MNUFC will go 3-4 months without hosting a game. I assume it'll be ~3 months, we'll just have cold weather games in November and March, but Dec/Feb will be away games.

MLS keeps citing a figure that says 91% of games, in the new schedule, will fall during the current league window. That's a little disingenuous, given that now they play just a handful of games in November/December, and with the new setup those will be normal regular-season weeks
