Seems like the “fingerprint” it identifies is just the type of 3D print process (FDM, SLS, SLA) and the materials. They use the word “origin” like they could identify what machine and who printed it.

Home Assistant is set up the same. No one can tell us what to do. Trust and ethics is the foundation of the modern product, news etc organizations while the rest of the world crumbles away with AI slop and enshittification

The least Google could do is open source these components so that open source projects like Home Assistant could provide a new life to old products.

If you're like me and actually like this but want to decouple from Google, hue and other shit look up home assistant.

It's a pretty steep leaning curve but setting up a local hub for control completely decoupled from the internet is nice

A double object make sense

I had a similar one where the texture came out all fuzzy looking like that. I was trying to get 100% infill and the slicer generated tons of tiny segments. The printer sounded like a jack hammer jumping the nozzle all over.

Agreed, I hate when times are displayed as relative and vague instead of absolute and precise.

Though I must admit sometimes I’d rather see a relative term here there, maybe a quick tap to reveal one or the other.

I would also think dry lubricants such as graphite power would be fine albeit a bit messy.
