- I think it’s odd booing a pickoff attempt. it’s a good thing - means their pitcher isn’t thinking about the batter and might throw it away. I’ve been to 25+ MLB/MiLB/NPB parks and don’t remember it as much? I think goes back to when pitchers would throw over a half dozen things. Not on the first.

Great show as always. Some thoughts from my seat in deep left field (section 241 Row 1):
- There was a missed defensive play in left that Straw makes that led to the bases loaded in the 6th. No sense it worrying about it, but I was at the time…

I guess a lot depended on the degree to which people thought Bo would bounce back. I was pretty confident he was good for another 100 hits and 15 HR over last year, so 10 wins internally plus maybe another 5 if they didn’t sell off seemed reasonable to me.

I wasn’t so surprised by the Jays this year (bet Jays to win the World Series at 67 - 1 in March) because I thought that apart from Vlad absolutely everything went as bad as it could possibly go last year…. And then they sold off in July. There was bound to be significant + regression to the mean.
