A y-cut at the single subject level is basically what we end up with. But Iβve preferred to do it per person rather than using an MNI template y=-21 or whatever your cutoff happens to be, largely because itβs a small additional cost in time for the anatomical ambiguity it addresses.
19.02.2025 19:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Weβve been happy using freesurfer for the whole hippocampus mask and then manually segmenting anterior/posterior using the uncal apex as a landmark (basically following Poppenk et al. 2013). RAs Iβve trained pick up the landmark quickly and itβs just a couple minutes per brain after that.
