Interesting paper out of Dartmouth about private sector's role in U.S. offensive cyber landscape. Recommends a national offensive cyber strategy and a pilot program for private sector access to "low-risk" targets like crypto scammers and ransomware operators:

This one's a wild/messy one: Cyber giant F5, which serves most of the Fortune 500, said unknown government hackers had 'long term' access to its network:
• stole source code, some customer data
• accessed undisclosed vulns in BIG-IP
• DOJ allowed F5 to delay public notice citing national security
Also repeated DHS's Kristi Noem's line about cuts at CISA since the new administration being about getting back to the "core mission" and moving away from a focus on things like "censorship."
"It's really what we should be doing."

White House made good on threats to fire workers during shutdown, and CISA was among those that lost workers - 176 were fired on Friday. A CISA spokesperson told Metacurity that CISA under Biden admin focused on "censorship, branding, and electioneering. This is part of getting CISA back on mission"
