I don’t know the why exactly, but I do recognize the how. We are put automatically in buckets, “community outreach”, “social impact” etc without even getting the chance to prove that our idea or method is universal

Why do we box in talent in business but celebrate it everywhere else?

Business plans mean nothing without the spiritual foundation to weather storms. Discipline. Sacrifice. Vision.

As we observe Lent and Ramadan, I’m reminded that these principles transcend faith traditions. True builders understand this.

They say the doors are closing for Black founders.

VCs are pulling out of Africa. DEI is dead in America.

But I see windows opening. Smaller targeted funds. Tighter founder communities. A more resilient culture.

I’m so excited for what we’re building. Stay the course. Keep the faith.
