On national typewriter day, the typewriter I still use maybe 2-3 times a year. I bought it in the 1990s. It's a Sears typewriter ("The Electronic Communicator") and it was state of the art when I bought it. It's quiet, and it still works well.

The more I think about it, the actual writing isn't the problem. I enjoy writing, rewriting, editing, etc. The actual publishing with small presses and other traditional publishers isn't the problem. I'm always happy to do edits and rewrites, etc. I'm happy to attend the events publishers set up.

Actually the best life advice I ever got: Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. A half-cleaned room is better than an uncleaned room. Occasionally flossing is better than never flossing. A 10-minute workout is better than no workout. When it’s all you can do to get out of bed, get out of bed.
