Very excited to share the first preprint of the lab! We show that the nuclear pore protein TPR forms biomolecular condensates which keep heterochromatin away from the nuclear pore complexes and maintains global chromatin organization. Check it out, share it, tell us what you think!!

Pseudouridine RNA avoids immune detection through impaired endolysosomal processing and TLR engagement Toll-like receptors (TLRs) 7 and 8 detect RNA degradation products to sense infection. However, modified nucleosides common in self-RNA—most notably pseudouridine—evade recognition. This study finds t...

Recently, in 2025, it got published by Dr. Jianjun Sun that Srp promotes phagocytic capacity of follicle cells during fly oogenesis. Srp is required in these cells to allow complete clearance of germline debris. A work published in the journal @dev-journal.bsky.social

In my PhD paper published in Front. Cell Dev. in 2022, i show that GATA factor Serpent (Srp) is required for fly fertility, as eggs laid by females mutant for srp are devoid of structures generated by ovarian follicle cells such as micropyle and chorion.
