It’s funny but not funny that some of them think there’s this bottomless troll of hurting Black people via government jobs and public assistance.

In general, people just don’t understand how fucked up white people are now. It’s kind of easy to overlook because these white people aren’t in the hot spots or destinations cities. I mean, they are there but are invisible because of the concentration of capital in those cities.

I have the same question b/c for the most part, they have milked the lazy, free loading, on welfare stereotype for what it’s worth. I mean, yeah there’s still people who buy it, but it’s not the 80s. That white working middle class no longer exists are the ones using benefits even more now.

Conservatives tropes about people on public assistance hasn’t had a firmware upgrade since the 80s.

The SNAP smear of drug users and people squandering handouts is convenient fiction: a bedtime story for people who need to starve their neighbors and still believe they should be allowed to sleep at night.

I didn’t have expectations of women that a lot of men have and I was not aware of some things that were experienced of me. E.g. if my mom wanted to go somewhere with my father she would plan and do it instead of telling him she wanted to do it so he could plan and do it. He did this as well.
