Is there's anybody in the broadcast media who hasn't been taking it seriously (if not assuming it's virtually nailed-on) for literally months?

OK, name a contemporary policy that has been informed by academic (social) science. The list clearly doesn't include local government reform, much of social policy etc. As for fiscal policy, wait for the budget

The hugely successful Elizabeth line is driving up public transport use in the capital and driving economic growth well beyond London.
Could Katie Lam identify the London schools where "more than three-quarters of children don’t speak English to a serviceable school standard". Well done to @davehillonlondon.bsky.social for giving Lam + CPS the chance to substantiate this claim at the Tory fringe

Brilliant evocation here of life of Jim Morrison. But, listening, a persistent question - how does this America relate to Trump’s?

I’ve always been Bill DeBlasio,” DeBlasio said in an interview conducted Wednesday evening through his Ring doorbell in Huntington Station, Long Island, from his current location in Florida. “I never once said I was the mayor. He never addressed me as the mayor,” DeBlasio told Semafor Wednesday evening. “So I just gave him my opinion.”

Studies of only the U.S. should be forced to include “in the United States” in the title.
The U.S. is in many ways one of the worst countries to generalize upon and the (often implicit) claim of universalism is based on either chauvinism or ignorance (or both).
