Must say I didn't expect to have already secured a job at this point, but really happy to share that I have accepted a role for next September!
The difference to this time last year is astounding!

This time last year if you had told me that I would have just submitted my first PGCE assignment I would've laughed in your face.
At this point I had washed my hands with teaching after my first attempt and never wanted to go back.
So glad I did. It's exactly the career for me!

And just like that, another week, another 12 lessons of teaching done.
One more week formally of my placement left, then two weeks of visits to my next school and finishing up my units for this term with my classes.
Nackered, but proud of myself.

I must say I'm really enjoying my system of making sure that i don't do work on Saturdays.
Staying a bit later everyday throughout the week is allowing me to have my Saturdays clear and it's really helpful for my mental health.

Two weeks left of my Formative placement, four weeks until Christmas.
Feeling really happy with the progress I've made so far, and proud of myself for keeping my head above water.
Christmas break is almost here!

Teaching in the city you grew up in is fun.
My mentor for my second placement was my GCSE Computer Science teacher!

It's incredible how much time is shaved off lesson planning as you get more experienced.
September me couldn't imagine being on a 12 lesson timetable!

I like it here.
So far no far right nonsense like a certain other platform.
