I’m a Russian speaker from Eastern Ukraine, just happened to be born in London. My family, my friends, our whole community speaks Russian.
Russia claims to protect us. In reality, they stole our homes, tortured us, killed our friends, shattered everything we built. They even sentenced me to death.

They came back broken but undefeated. The Ukrainian POWs released from Russian captivity were hollow-eyed and traumatised —victims of brutal torture and starvation. Their suffering is a reminder of the inhumanity of war and the price of defending democracy and sovereignty. Welcome back home, heroes.
