US Border Patrol raid sweeps in citizens, families as Chicago crackdown intensifies U.S. Border Patrol agents deployed to Chicago led a late-night raid on an apartment building this week, rappelling from helicopters onto rooftops and breaking down doors in an operation authorities said targeted gang members but which swept up U.S. citizens and families.

A rich harvest from a theatrical stunt raid on a Lakeshore Drive apartment complex: one person suspected of using marijuana (which is perfectly legal), and somebody who "looks like a gang member." Very impressive. The real purpose is to intimidate and silence the people of Chicago, of course.

It’s a core First Amendment principle. This is utterly lawless behavior, for which there will be no (short-term) consequences.

That he does it so casually, as they are walking away, in front of cameras.

Rightly confident in his impunity.

i just can’t get over ICE going into the streets of the city i live in, throwing gas at citizens, invading people who live here. this is state sponsored terrorism being enacted on americans

ICE is too dangerous to be left unaccountable.
Violence & abuse against Americans is wrong.

If you see an incident occurring, get out your cellphone. Document it. Send it to your Congressperson and the press. Do it anonymously if you need to. #BeTheChange
