When we look back at Palestinian genocide in history books we must not just see the moment of loudness at the end but the months of silence, excuses and complicity that came first.

We are cautioned again and again from using these words, regardless of how the circumstances point to them.

We must only use them in retrospect according to our media. When it's too late to prevent the worst.

What is the use of these words 'genocide' and 'ethnic cleansing' if we cannot use them when observing the symptoms of this disease and as these symptoms worsen?

What is the use of these words if we cannot use them to diagnose a disease when we can still cure it and stop it in its tracks?

To Western media,

Is it time now to use the term 'genocide' or 'ethnic cleansing'? As we watch the definition of these words play out live in front of our eyes?

What is the use of these words if we only speak them to diagnose a disease once the body is already dead from it.
