Yay! Shared epiphanies! I've been doing to quick searching to verify this, but nothing yet. It might be a coincidence, but I don't think it is.

How am I only now realizing that Spock's suit was orange because orange was the color for "sciences" in the TMP insignia scheme? (Like Kirk's is white because "command" is white.") My mind's a little blown.

For future readers who, like me, may have done a double-take at that cover ... it's a different James Gunn.

Four and a half ...

Since that display is two screens together, I always take note of when they digitally erase the separation and when they don't. This is one of those rare instances wherein they've left it for some shots and not others.

First time I've seen some of those menu items ... "Three-Course Fondue," "Homestyle BBQ (Bring Your Own Bib)" ...

Similarly, I've avoided watching Trek "in the background" so I can avoid it becoming "wallpaper." I purposefully watch episodes when I want to watch them, good and bad. Lately, I've been doing that according to theme months prescribed by voting in my Trek subreddit: www.reddit.com/r/ClassicTrek/

Seeing the hot pink on the nacelles of the Centaur made me realize that I've not seen a thorough examination of the UV "lighting" effects used in DS9. I don't recall behind-the-scenes pics or anything ... just occasional model shots with seemingly incongruous color panels. Do you have anything?
