I found this piece on the Sony advert we got here in the UK years ago almost unbearably moving. You might get it more if you can remember the awe the ad garnered first time around, but I loved how it got across just what it was like to be in the community at the time!

Eerily quiet here in our area of Long Beach. Air quality is so-so, could be worse, could change anytime. Glued to tv watching events unfold 30 miles north west and north of us. Hosting someone from affected area who needed a break. Slight orange glow in sky makes for a very surreal day.
