...i am very much aware it's like that picture of the plane with all the red dots on it and that there's a *lot* of animals who are more domesticated or urbanised than me

there's a big element of escapism too but it's also because we've barely found any animals *here* as compared to over there

i think part of why i am like i am is that most of my experiences seeing other animals like me is that the general image being built up is that the pacific northwest is some therian utopia and being spiritual and esoteric and extremely wild is how to best be nonhuman, which works for me but...
