Each day I’m sad this game was canceled before it went into early access

"art is inaccessible/artists are gatekeepers" is the biggest self report in the world that whoever is saying it is, at best, buying in to incredibly tedious learned helplessness or, more likely, is just a huge fucking loser.

-in general just struggling bc i get thoughts like “this has to be the next undertale… nay, the next mother 3!!!” which is dumb, hey brain it doesnt have to be a masterpiece it can just be a fun little thing. i think im mostly thinking like that bc its my first game, i dont feel like that with comics but also i have dozens of those…. im pretty sure when i was making my first comic i also had those perfectionist thoughts like “oh man it has to be the next [insert cool comic here]…. it has to be perfect…” no brain it just has to be finished. anyway art is fun i love creating things

Update time! I figured out the first steps in getting an NPC to follow the player.

I want to tidy this up, get my other character to follow the player, add in the walking animations, and work on terrain tilesets so the characters have a world to walk in!
