Are we that thirsty for power, we discard those we should cherish for those who abuse and harm others within our community? What are we doing?

We (#Blackmen) are loyal to other men who themselves consider us irrelevant if we do not hold a similar status of wealth. Remember when artists like Diddy, Chris Brown, Tory Lanz made songs about being wealthy enough to take your girl. They are not talking to each other, it's to you my guy. Smh

What do we (#Blackmen) gain from hating Queer folks and women?! It is disgusting how many of us will shame #Diddy for his potential queerness than his explicitly clear violence towards Cassie. We care so much about his inclusion of other men within his sex life, we turned his name into a slur.

These divisive conversations are due to misinformation, misinterpretations and the fragility of masculinity.

From the #AnthonyMackie interview to the Netflix Series #Adolescence, public commentary and opinion around these two things show we need more robust critical and analytical discussions around masculinity that incorporate black feminist thought/scholars.
