I don’t think Jesus was joking when he told us to love our neighbours.

This isn't some add-on to the gospel. It's embedded in it.
This book was just recommended to me today! I’ll take this as a sign to read it sooner rather than later

However - the more in interrogate it the more certain I am that Relient K produced the greatest Christmas album of all time.
As long as none of the teams you support is the Yankees - I don’t have any issues here.

But at the same time I can’t help but think that we find ourselves in a bit of a “forest and trees” situation if our focus is misdirected
Lately I’ve been spending less time trying to “discern God’s will” and more time trying to understand God’s heart
11.12.2024 21:35 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0About me - once, during a Christmas trivia event, the question was, “How many ghosts visit Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol?”
My response (with great confidence), “Five! There’s Marley, Marley, Past, Present, Yet to Come”
Was advised that is, in fact, unique to the Muppets.
Agreed! “Pretty sure there’s some dirt on that - it should run through again.”

The violence inflicted by the inhumane practices of health insurance companies can’t really be overstated.
How do we faithfully live out the call to “not repay evil with evil” when so many are suffering?
I really don’t have answers … only more questions the longer I spend reflecting on this

What does Jesus’ ethic of peace have to say to us in this time and place?
"God's given you a fusion reactor in the sky. You just need a way to tap it."
