So the moral of the story is there's no way to vote twice in California. Unless someone can copy your signature there's no way anyone can use your ballot. If they did you get a text message saying your votes been counted and a number to call if it wasn't you. Completely safe

Whether you vote in person or by mail they compare your signature to your ID and send you a text saying your vote has been recorded. I ended up getting my mail-in ballot the day after I voted in person. Which I will get rid of

This year I accidentally put drive instead of street. I called and told them I did not receive my ballot they said they're going to send another one. I ended up voting in person I said don't worry if I get my 2nd ballot I will not vote twice. They told me there's no way to vote twice anyways

In California the ballots are tracked. They text you when they send it out and text you when they receive it and count it.
