Yes, the Episcopal Church has LGBTQI2S+ bishops, priests, deacons, and lay leaders. Perhaps most famous is Bishop Gene Robinson, but many others too. We specifically have dozens of (out and proud) trans clergy, though no bishops yet; that said, being trans is not a barrier to being elected.

It should be needless to say, but it is perhaps at this moment worth saying, that transgender individuals have the same right as anyone else to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Photo of the Rev. Dr. Vicki Gray, deacon in the Episcopal Church, who died on August 3 at the age of 86. Vicki was the first openly trans person to be ordained in the Diocese of California (San Francisco Bay Area), in 2006.
In this posed photograph taken from her Facebook page, she wearing a black blouse and baby-blue knitted cardigan sweater, a blue-and-white necklace and earrings. She has blond hair and a broad smile as she looks directly at the camera.
Thank you to Episcopal News Service for honoring the Rev. Vicki Gray with this story about her path-breaking life and ministry:

Deacon Vicki Gray stands, smiling broadly, amidst a crowd of fellow advocates for LGBTQ inclusion at the General Convention of the Episcopal Church in Anaheim in 2009. Vicki is wearing a bright green shirt with white lettering that says:
HERE I AM
SEND ME!
I am a witness
to Godβs
inclusive love
The others in crowd are wearing similar tshirts in bright green, red, and blue colors.
We are so sad to have lost our comrade the Rev. Dr. Vicki Gray over the weekend. She was a dear friend, fierce advocate, devoted deacon, and member of our Steering Committee for many years. We lift up our friend with gratitude for her life and witness. βοΈ
