Thanks Steve. Had an underactive thyroid so v tired and had to take a break from book writing since July. Need to get on with it now.

No my twitter followers are most definitely not bots. I have friends from all over the world on there.

Thanks for all your kind likes Steve. But you're nearly the only person clicking like on my posts so I have to call bluesky a day after 2 prolonged attempts over the past year. I need to get on with my next book, & frankly bluesky is a total waste of my time. However my 17.8K on X respond to my Xs.

It seems bluesky is more dead than Twitter/X. I still have 17.8K lovely interactive followers on X. Over 400 followers on bluesky yet most have no interest in medieval Irish church history or in showing their appreciation. I have better things to do so will have another break from bluesky.

Posted this 3 hours ago. Is there something wrong with it #medievalsky or is all of bluesky asleep? Yesterday's posts nearly all got 0 likes, only 3 got 1 like.

From a distance, Kells Priory has the appearance of a large castle with high walls and strong towers, but despite its military appearance, it was a place of prayer.

The priory was founded in around c.1193 for the Augustinian canons.

In Irish, widow, 'baintreach', means 'a woman who ploughs', because in the absence of her husband a widow is forced to undertake this arduous work for herself (Omnium Sanctorum Hiberniae)!? Not the only female saint who did manual labour! e.g. St Brigid farmed!
