I literally checked my loan balance at the beginning of all the DOGE stuff because I wanted to be certain I wasn't hallucinating that they were all good. Overnight they have doubled my loan amount and now claim my old loans are in default so they can garnish my wages. I am trying hard not to panic.

I consolidated my student loans directly with the Dept. of Ed in 2023. Then limbo with the SAVE repayment court case.
This morning I got an email from the Dept of Ed that my loans are in default. When I log in, my consolidated loan=good standing + now all the old loans are there in default.
