That’s why I tend to think of my approach to historical memory in some sense as “popular historiography.”

If anything, the book shows there is no one correct way of viewing the Revolution. Instead, as Jessica points out, it’s more a survey of the many ways Americans have interpreted the Revolution and how circumstances have impacted those changing interpretations.

I miss that internet a lot.

I did the same with the marginal tax rate graphic when I taught a first-year seminar on “The American Dream.” When I asked them to guess my salary as a VAP at a small school in the Midwest… multiple students guessed $100k. 🤣🤣

A lot of those young male Trump voters were in their teens in 2016. Many have never seen the Access Hollywood tape, the photos of him with Epstein, the comments about Ivanka on Howard Stern, etc…. Dems should be running ads of all those “greatest hits.”
