Russ Vought set out to ensure a second Trump term would not be hampered by checks and balances: “I don’t want President Trump having to lose a moment of time having fights in the Oval Office about whether something is legal or doable or moral.”

- Increasing your healthcare costs
- Cutting SNAP
- Not paying workers

This is all thanks to the Republican shutdown.

Republicans are working for billionaires, not you.

In most states open enrollment for Affordable Care Act health insurance starts Nov. 1.

This year 22 million people are about to see their premiums more than double, on average.

At the heart of the government shutdown is the battle to keep these huge costs down.

I hope that romance novels will be written about people who meet each other on neighborhood ICE monitoring patrols. They will see each other regularly on the streets, be drawn to each other by the visible whistles around their necks, get to know one another, fall in love, and end fascism.

Mike Johnson lies shamelessly: "Why do we say the Republican Party is the only one advancing common sense reform solutions? Because we've proven it. We did it in the big beautiful bill. We took a look at Medicaid & we took on that challenge. We took action to reduce fraud, waste & abuse in Medicaid"

It's worth looking back at Cuomo's gubernatorial primaries—he *never* did that well in NYC given that he was generally running against some pretty weak opposition

The use of “risk” here is so fucking terrible. Like having an autistic kid is a bad thing. A risk you want to avoid. Like autistic people are something to get rid of.

Last night’s Halloween Hangover music and drag show at 33 Golden St. in New London hosted by Lucy Cigarettes was one to remember. The energy of the crowd was amazing. I went for a Frank Iero circa 2004 look, and I played a Les Paul Special instead of the Mustang. I liiiiiked it a lot.

Trump was gifted a crown belonging to a king who claimed power from heaven. Silla’s kings rose by centralizing absolute power… and eventually collapsed under the corruption and rebellion. This was expert-level trolling by S. Korea, but Trump is too absorbed in himself to notice he’s the punchline.

We need both. I don't want hope in place of rage - I want hope alongside rage. I want the spark and flash to become a steady flame that can light our way out of this catastrophe of horrors. Rage. Organize. Hope. Repeat. (Just restocked this print: radicalemprints.com & wholesaleradical.com)

USA capitalism wants Venezuelan oil. USA would rather kill people than negotiate a fair deal. If the USA capitalism was smart, it would invest in solar & wind energy sources. But it prefers war because building military supplies is much more profitable and it uses oil. Simple greed needs grease.

• Professors should never put a student's words or work into an AI
software without their consent.
• Professors should also be transparent about their Al usage with grading, curriculum building, and any other way they might use it in their teaching.
• If a professor does use Al chatbots in the classroom, they should explain their reasoning behind this decision and how its usage will help students meet learning
outcomes.
• Professors should additionally respect a student's choice to refuse Al. To do this, it would be ideal that they have assignments that students can choose from that do
