What I was suggesting is using AI to increase quality scores, not necessarily productivity. Increased scores today converts into increased revenue. This is not a solution to your conundrum, only a possible next step.

In other words, not only reduce errors and increase quality, but also enable this tech to create meaningful revenue impact for providers. Accomplishing this might actually relieve some of the pressure to see more patients.

28.05.2025 19:18 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's really a good question, and I think a real conundrum. But one possible next step I'd like to see is the use of this technology to detect/alert possible errors or oversights. And then from there, the step beyond is to feed data into quality assessment that affect reimbursement rates./1

Why AI May Be Listening In on Your Next Doctor’s Appointment New systems for documenting outpatient visits are adding features and moving into hospitals. β€œWe are just scratching the surface,” one doctor says.

The benefits of AI scribes: (1) doctors spend less time working on documentation; (2) more relevant info gets into the clinical note, and (3) both doctors and patients are more satisfied because they can pay attention to each other, instead of a computer. www.wsj.com/health/healt...
