He says he’s ok but that second impact was a big one and his steering column had already broke, the cockpit wasn’t a safe place by then. They’ll check him out properly

If you spin off where there are yellow flags and a car already in the barrier you deserve a penalty that affects your next race

They’re coming home! The wonderful news we’ve been waiting two years for. The end of this nightmare.
This must be the start of a very different reality for the whole region. We all deserve better. L’chaim - to life

Something I was not expecting to read in Shunsaku Tamiya’s autobiography was 4 pages about his trip to Israel in 1968 to see a Soviet T34 tank captured in the 6 Day War. A lot of the book is about the efforts he went to for research so that Tamiya models are accurate. A passionate perfectionist

I’m not sure that this cafΓ©, β€œFournos”, put enough thought into how it looks when you submit your expense receipts.
For the non-Hebrew readers suffice it to say that we don’t have different letters for F and P and first time this showed up on a credit card statement I was a little shocked

Yes I’m talking about the tyres. There’s no point developing them and flying them all over the world if they can’t be used. I’m really not convinced that spray/visibility is more of an issue now than it ever was though

27.07.2025 17:54 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

8 years they’ve been taking those tyres all over the world and not using them. You’re not exactly countering my point

When was the full wet tyre last used in a race? Must be ten years ago, maybe that really wet Brazil that Max made his name at, which was what, 2016?

27.07.2025 15:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So why have the tyre and take them to every race? Either have the tyre and use it or don’t have the tyre

Pure marketing from Aston I assume. Although it probably is a bit more practical having rear doors and more room for medical equipment

They transport 240 tyres around the world to every single event and then throw them out unused at the end of the year. How do they reconcile this against their environmental targets? Having them and never using them is absurd

Has F1 considered developing a special β€œrain tyre”? They could bring maybe 3 sets to every race for every car so that when it rains the cars can still go out.
Just a thought.

Spa is always affected by rain so why don’t they hold the race in the middle of summer?

Italian cycling champion Gino Bartali carried forged exit visas hidden in his handlebar and seat to Jews in hiding during WWII, & ultimately helped save an estimated 800 Jews from the Nazis.

Same. Every single time that it’s a car from this brand. No idea at all which meaningless alphanumeric code has been applied in lieu of any memorable identity

I followed my passion and ultimately changed an industry Growing up in Manchester, UK, Nir Kahn had a big dream and that was to become a car designer! We all have passions and dreams, but for Nir, his came true!

β€œNir's journey took him from a little boy with big dreams and playing with Lego to board rooms and making big decisions. It's a story of passion, determination, dreams and confidence, perhaps even naivety at times, as well as overcoming failures”

For years now if it’s wet enough for full wets they red flag the race. I honestly don’t know why they waste money developing, making, and bringing them to the tracks. For a sport trying to improve its environmental credentials it’s absurd flying 240 tyres to 24 countries only to throw them out
