By the way, did you get the 207 as a Rallye abroad? I think the sheer number of 106 Rallyes sold made them make the GTi a RC or a Rallye!

You might have better luck with something American now that you mention the engine.. easier to supplement a SBC for instance with a LS than anything else.

If it could even just run Apple Music or Spotify it’d be alright tbh but I’ve been banging the drum for years: it’s a real shame they stopped making the Classic they owned that market and now it’s nigh-on impossible to install iTunes on a newer Mac.
It’s such a nice distraction-free experience.

My early 2002 2nd gen iPod Classic with 20GB that is entirely too nice to use. No scratches on the caseback and the old Japanese owner last played songs on it in February 2005!

Oh yes: better still, badged ‘01 so a very very early one!
Downside: only 5gigs. On ‘02s I think you could get a 10GB 1st gen one with a physical wheel—have an early ‘02 2nd gen with 20GBs that’s too nice to use.
