One of the few US brands with actual sedans is Cadillac but driving by a dealership this afternoon they only had SUVs out front.

25.11.2025 03:23 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s nice to see a unique take on car design. I’m biased as a Polestar owner but their cars have a distinct language.
25.11.2025 03:20 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Same here, I’ve had a polestar 2 for about 3 years. I always say it takes 10 seconds to charge. 5 seconds to plug it in, 5 seconds to unplug it when I get back from eating, shopping, or sleeping ☺️
25.11.2025 03:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0American car companies can’t even make sedans anymore with any fuel type. Meanwhile my buddy traveling in China is posting pictures of fastback EVs that have animated LED characters on the back.

Hey Nintendo: I think you should make a Mario Kart character out of my dog, Enzo. I feel like he would fit right in with Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi! And he likes to drift all around the house chasing treats 🤣
25.11.2025 02:36 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0New mission: Find a vegan chickpea loaf to make for the holiday! It looks like my partner found one in a “Jessica In The Kitchen” cookbook 😊
25.11.2025 02:31 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That looks fantastic!
25.11.2025 00:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0unfortunately I think that is pretty much at parody with a current ICE car that has that type of gas suspension. I don't think that is EV related at all.
24.11.2025 19:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0my last "big service" was a cabin filter last year, they came out to my house and put it in for free. 🤣
24.11.2025 19:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Thanks for your concern.
My tires are good for another couple years.
Wiper blades are new.
But I think you are intentionally missing the point?
I should add up all the money I spent on that TT over 20 years... That thing was basically the ship of Theseus by the end 🤪
For those that don't know the reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of...
I didn't say zero maintenance, I just said this is all I'll need for 2 years, which is accurate... you can't rotate tires on a Polestar because of the offsets and I won't need tires in that time.
24.11.2025 18:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0yep... and maintaining an old German dinosaur juice burner usually means like $1k of maintenance per year vs windshield washer fluid. It is like you are comparing brushing your teeth to an annual root canal... have fun with that. I did my time in a 25 year old German manual car. I'm free now.
24.11.2025 18:31 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0oh the does not sound fun! I had an alternator die on my Audi and I literally was 1.5 miles from my mechanic... nothing like paying for a tow when I could have almost pushed it in 🤣 ... I feel like my gas cars needed something major every year.
24.11.2025 18:28 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Some folks don't realize that most EVs come with a slow charger & some brands offer L2 chargers for free. My Hyundai came with an offer for a free home L2 charger.
I find some people who don't know make assumptions in their posts instead of asking questions. It's ok not to know this stuff up front.
LOL, I love that example.
24.11.2025 18:02 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just curious, does your car's onboard nav do charger route guidance? Both our EVs do that and they account for how much charge you have and how much you will have when you get to the charger.
PlugShare works well because you input what kind of car you have and it helps map it all out in advance.
yep, been driving performance cars for nearly 30 years and I live in Portland, I'm familiar with the concept of rain... thanks. Also, don't confuse Tesla drivers with EV drivers 🤪
24.11.2025 17:59 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0And also, can I just say that @tomvoelk.bsky.social is one of the best EV reviewers out there. He might be the best US based one. I like that Tom is level headed and has a great level of journalistic integrity. He doesn’t just repeat a press release. Thanks for what you do, Tom! We appreciate you.
24.11.2025 17:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Not to mention driving by all those gas stations (which are classified as toxic brownfields that need environmental cleanup) to just charge at home is pretty glorious (if you can, I know charging at home is not an option for everyone)
24.11.2025 17:11 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That sucks. Something that could also easily go wrong on a gas car. I was always having suspension work done on my Audi gas car.
24.11.2025 17:08 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0We either pay now by investing in green technologies (whose prices are falling) or pay later when big chunks of our planet become uninhabitable. It’s chilling how Octavia Butler saw all this coming in the early 90s

Some amazing used EV deals out there. I would totally get one off someone’s 3 year lease.
24.11.2025 15:13 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0“EV maintenance is a nightmare!” … I just performed the only service I’ll likely need for another 2 years. Windshield washer fluid. 🤣
This is what #EV owners are talking about: no oil changes, no tune ups, no timing belt, no brake service until ~120k miles, just tires & I’m still on my original set
Both of my non Tesla EVs have this cool feature called normal door handles. They work great. 👍
24.11.2025 15:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0You might want to read this before repeating oil industry misinformation. There is a lot of conflicting info out there but everything you posted is incorrect. Meanwhile gasoline is actually carcinogenic and deadly.

All these analysts posting about why Tesla sales are way down and global EV sales are way up are very much overthinking the obvious.
24.11.2025 15:00 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0I wish we had the low cost EV options they have in the UK here in the US. Not to mention how much cheaper it is to charge a car than fuel it & no oil changes, tune ups, no brake services until about 120k miles… I just did the only service I’ll need on my EV for another year, windshield washer fluid🤣
24.11.2025 14:55 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oh wow, I wish we had the low cost EV options you have in the UK. Have you looked into the MG EVs? They are pretty cheap off the lot and with batteries lasting 200k - 400k miles I assume a deal on a 3 year old lightly used one would be fantastic!
