I love the protests, and they are very much necessary. However, in my experience, these groups simply cannot hold together. The speeches at our rallies were all over the place. No cohesion. The internecine squabbles will erupt at any moment.

When will they learn? At this point, I don't think they need to learn anything, because they AREN'T PLAYING ON OUR TEAM.

Doesn't it strike all of you as a bit odd that our Party always manages to find enough turncoats to lose to Republicans? We had Sinema and Manchin to blame, but then they go away and there are plenty of others to take their place.

Not until 2028. These decisions are all made collectively, with leadership, then they back into the votes they need to make it happen. They assign the votes to the least vulnerable members. And we fall for it every time.

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

“Nah”

Just wait until MAGA brings a bill to the Senate. They'll fold in an hour and post big "thumbs up" photos about it later.

This kind of capitulation makes it plain that there is no opposition to authoritarianism.

They wanted us to think it was all them . . . but it never was. The Senate leadership decides how all these votes are going to go, and they assign the votes to the least-vulnerable members. Always have.
