This has been a thing for about 20 years or so at least, from what I remember. Caller ID has been spoofed since it came out, and somebody had the bright idea to spoof it to the number they were calling, presumably to get people who were curious enough to answer.

(Update) Ok now it's on Android. I split it in two, so now a server on the PC side takes in the data from the named pipe and sends it over the network via UDP to the phone app which is listening for it.
