My talk went really well on Wednesday. Who knew a deep dive cupboard hunt would produce the vast amount of printed columns and articles I'd long forgotten about, which aided my 'historical collage' on the table at the venue. A lovely evening, well received. #booksky #writers #columnists #novels

It's that time when I've managed to escape for a few hours alone, around physical shops, just me and an iced maple coffee and the aromatic smell inside River Island. Joy. Sometimes your own company is all you need. And I can still get my promo cards printed despite the shop going bust.

A sad night saying farewell to Porthcawl's Coney Beach fairground as it ends its life. I used to come here as a kid. I had my first sunburn on the sandunes. Thousands filled the car parks and visited the fairground for the last time. Luxury flats are going in its place. Times change. Memories stay.

When preparing for a talk next week, and come across your first short story in a national women's magazine, laminated to save forever, and an article in The Whippet magazine which I wasn't aware was in there until someone told me at a dog show. So many '!!!!'s😂
