A man with short grey hair, wearing a red jacket, sits in a wheelchair among a circle of large stone blocks outdoors looking out.
White text over the image reads: โDrawn the Mystery of Stone Circles โ A tribute to Phil Chambers and the circles that include us.โ The web address accessheritage.substack.com appears at the bottom.
A short tribute to my dad, Phil Chambers โ the inspiration behind Access Heritage. His fascination with stone circles echoes in a folklore study I discovered exploring these โspooky stones of folk horror.โ

Thanks for sharing this, @profdavidturner.bsky.social โ I found his story really moving. Living in a converted mill up North in Calderdale, and the fact my dad was paraplegic and a disability rights activist, it resonated deeply. I hadnโt heard of Dodd before, but Iโll make sure heโs remembered! ๐

The right side shows two vertical strips of photographs - the left strip displays Chester's historic Shot Tower, a tall cylindrical brick tower, and the right strip shows modern residential buildings with orange/brown cladding and balconies. At the bottom is a white section with "12-21 September" in blue text on the left and the Heritage Open Days logo (pink castle icon with blue and pink text) on the right.

Max Hastings in The Times today does one of the best jobs so far of properly chronicling the USA's breakneck descent into fascism. I don't think a single person will be aware of *all* the evidence.
