Thanks to all who joined in our Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary cleanup! Despite the heat, we had a great turnout. Together we removed 80 gallons of invasive species from one of our favorite local spaces. It felt good to put in the work for a place we love. Already looking forward to the next one!

Governor Evers Secures $256 million for the UW System in the Year of the Kid $100 million increase for UW System campuses statewide $7 million to support student mental health $148 million to help retain and recruit faculty and staff $1 million for UW-Green Bay's Rising Phoenix Early College High School Program AND! over $840 million for building projects on UW campuses

Threats to cut our UW System by nearly $90 million were a nonstarter for me.

I worked hard to secure the largest investment in our UW System in nearly two decades in addition to more than $840 million in campus building projects.

While Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, it's first & foremost a day of remembrance. We remember and honor all those whose sacrifice made our freedoms possible.

If DOGE was ever truly meant to reduce spending and increase efficiency, it stands as one of the most spectacular failures in the history of the federal government.

Ripped headline from Politico that reads: wealth gain, low income people lose from GOP mega bill, analysis finds. And a ripped headline from The New York Times that reads GOP Tax Bill May Hurt the lowest earners and help the richest.

It couldn't be clearer: Republicans are planning to cut critical programs that kids, families, seniors, and veterans depend on every day, while giving massive tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.

The rich will get richer. Simple as that.

Jong-Fast: This would be the largest cut to food assistance in US history—and it will result in hungry kids.

It’s also important to mention that this bill grows the deficit. I don’t know how it manages to do the two things you absolutely don’t want—starve children and grow the deficit—but it does.

Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' is ugly for Wisconsin. Republicans voted for it anyway. Quote on an empty plate with silverware on the sides. "All of Wisconsin's Republican delegation voted yes Friday as the US House passed a budget bill that President Donald Trump calls big and beautiful-certainly true for billionaires, but anyone else in Wisconsin struggling with a weakened US economy will see impacts that, while large, aren't exactly pretty."

Thanks to the help of every Wisconsin Republican, Congress recently passed Trump’s “big, beautiful bill”.

This bill will cut food assistance and healthcare for struggling families and give tax breaks to the ultra wealthy.

3 in 8 kids are on Medicaid to receive healthcare—from routine care to getting medicine—and Wisconsin Republicans voted to make HUGE cuts to Medicaid. We cannot let this stand.
