Those 1970s Oldfield albums part soundtracked my childhood. Mum was a huge fan and got each one when it came out. They instantly remind me of her every time I play them.

A Life That Might Inspire Others: Modern Nature Discuss 'The Heat Warps' - Stereoboard Photo: Michael Stasiak Modern Nature’s latest album β€˜The Heat Warps’ opens to the sound of dual guitars echoing, weaving, dancing around each other. It’s a world away from the impressionistic, abstra...

Enjoyed chatting to Modern Nature’s Jack Cooper about their excellent new album as they move away from the abstract, impressionistic feel of recent releases in favour of a sound defined by dual guitars inspired by Television and Can.

Same here and very much my happy place too. I had to drag myself away this evening. It's always a long off-season, but it won't be long until the fixture list is released and we can start filling our respective diaries for 2026! Winter well, James.

Congratulations to Leicestershire, deserved winners of Division Two this year. Northamptonshire’s middle order held up the trophy presentation with a spirited batting display which offers some hope going into the long winter. Counting the days until the new season already.

Shock result. They only needed to bat out the day. Hampshire probably can’t believe their luck after their own collapse yesterday.
