I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.

Here are some old drawings I made of the characters from 2015-2016:

As a result from this, they mailed the drawings back to me about two years later along with a free Regular Show comic and I gotta say, it was pleasant surprise.

Looking back, I'm kinda glad Cartoon Network didn't accept because admittedly, some of the characters were derivatives, with one couple of characters strikingly resembling the Blockheads from Gumby (that was intentional because I was a ignorant kid back then... I was influenced by that show too.)

*pulls up minor spelling mistake meme* (By the way... Michael is my middle name that I commonly used back then as my 'familiar' name to family and friends)

Funnily, I actually tried to pitch this show to Cartoon Network Studios shortly after, despite being in, like, elementary school at the time... and not knowing much of how the entertainment business worked then/works.

In late 2015 (specifically November), while sitting at church out of boredom, I drew some weird and bizarre-looking creatures in my notebook that are basically beta designs of Logana Wixel, Wiley, Blaugeist (then named Bluey) and Snowdrop.

I had fully embraced having an inconsistent art style, and the feeling felt like this ever since.
