The area of the OP pix runs through the lower right edge of the brown burn area.

From another app, not sure of the source but seems about from my understanding.

The white line bisecting the brown burn area is Mangatepopo Rd, which runs from SH47 to the start of the Crossing.

The green bump just below it is Pukeonake which the fire did not get to the top of.

Probs are as all the broom and gorse carrying farmland is upwind but DOC local local volunteers like Mahi Aroha have excellent skills for interdicting them before they get away.

SH49 is a clear boundary between exotic infestation and native growth in the Park proper...
