As a Ukrainian, I can attest that in any war, Moscovia's main goal is to break enemy's dignity. Once your dignity is broken, you are halfway conquered by Russia. You can be bought, you can be scared, blackmailed - Moscovians are experts in all of that. Your only protection is maintaining dignity.
