something something they expected me to look at their story and be so moved i'd want to be part of it for free but i couldn't even read their full outline because it made absolutely no sense to me. it went nowhere. it achieved nothing. i was BORED and CONFUSED

i ghosted them for like half(?) a year but they messaged me every few weeks for a progress check. i implore them to be so fucking fr. hoping they didn't hop targets after i blocked them, but they probably did. insanity.

forever thinking about the person who asked me to draw a full comic for them for free. they came into an art server i was a regular in, asked for Help, then proceeded to inform me in dms they needed an artist for the entire comic and that was now MY job. unpaid, of course.

i've abandoned a fair number of OCs but "what if i was happy" OC is the one i think abt sometimes because she got me through so much as a teen and gods i hate her so much

most of her friends still exist as OCs, but have all been repurposed into something better for my mental health when writing them.

also the "what if i was cis and happy" OC was my first OC i drew regularly back when i was 11 or 12. so there's some history there that i had to let go of

but when i realized the "what if i was happy" OC was the "what if i am truly a woman and am just deluding myself" OC i had to let go. she was not good for my mental state. i ended up dropping most of her story line, including her sister, the sister's boyfriend, and the brother.

i made her before realizing i was trans, originally making her as the "what if i had people to rely on and trust" OC so i gave her good friends, a good life and siblings. as time moved, she continued being the "what if i was happy" OC. it felt really bad.

oh this ones for me personally /j

i specifically abandoned the development of one of my OCs because her entire concept had become "what if i was cis" and the "what if i removed a huge part of my identity" OC sucked all joy out of me to think about. it felt like i was trying to deny part of who i am
