Overshoot and Climate Stability Passing 1.5ºC is now inevitable. Overshoot scenarios tell us that we can relatively safely pass this level but then bring temperatures back down again, but how realistic are they, and how safe?

Overshoot scenarios are the only way to meet the Paris goals. They involve massive carbon dioxide removal which will be hard and expensive.
Are they required though? Won’t net-zero do the job of keeping us safe?
