New landmark EAT-Lancet Commission warns food systems breach planetary limits - EAT The 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission today released its Report on Healthy, Sustainable, and Just Food Systems, presenting the most comprehensive global scientific evaluation of food systems to date.

The new EAT–Lancet report warns that we need a global food transformation: more plants, less waste, fairer systems.

If food can break the planet, it can also help heal it. 💚

Growing food crops under solar panels is called Agrivoltaics. Lots of crops benefit from growing underneath them. I know in Maine they were piloting wild blueberries, and in Massachusetts cranberries. You can also graze animals like sheep or if you mount them high cows (not goats - they climb)

AI Can Help or Harm the Planet. It's Up to Us. AI doesn't have to be bad for the planet. It can help us fight climate change, protect nature and improve lives — but only if it's used with care.

"AI will not build a world where people, nature and climate thrive together. People will. And those people, from community leaders to wise companies to dedicated civil servants, will use technology, and indeed AI, to do so." ~ Evan Tachovsky

Antarctica is in extreme peril New research catalogs several “abrupt changes,” like a precipitous loss of sea ice, unfolding in Antarctica with dire implications for us all.

The loss of winter sea ice in Antarctica over just the past decade is similar to what the Arctic has lost over the last 46 years.

This extraordinary decline is kicking off a climatic feedback loop.
